Quadra to increase copper production in 2010

On Monday, Canada’s Quadra Mining (QUA.TO) reported that the company expects to raise copper production from its three operations by more than 50 percent in 2010, sending shares up 2.7 percent.

The news release is quoted as saying:

The Vancouver-based copper and gold miner expects to produce about 250 million pounds of copper in 2010. It also anticipates 80,000 ounces of gold output from its Robinson mine in Ely, Nevada. Quadra, which also operates the Carlota Mine in Arizona and the Franke Mine in Chile, produced 164 million pounds of copper and 98,970 ounces of gold in 2009.
