Southern Silver Exploration Corp. (TSXV:SSV) announced that it has commenced drilling on its Cerro Las Minitas project. The drill program will be carried out by Freeport-McMoran as they are the current operator of the project.
Yellowhead Mining Inc. (TSX:YMI) announced receiving results from a further eight holes at Harper Creek. The recently completed program was carried out at the central and eastern zones of the Harper Creek deposit.
South American Silver Corp. (TSX:SAC) announced gold intersections of 12.19 g/t at a new Gold zone at its Escalones project. The discovery came as part of the results from diamond drill hole ES-43 at Escalones. The Company reported that assays are pending for the rest of the hole.
Nevada Copper Corp. (TSX:NCU) announced that it has closed a copper concentrate off-take and a $US 200 million senior secured loan facility. The Company will use the proceeds for the construction of an underground mining operation at Pumpkin Hollow.
Polymet Mining Corp (TSX:POM) CFO, Douglas Newby spoke with the Investing News Network during PDAC 2013 in Toronto. Polymet is a Canadian company with a large Copper-Nickel project, the NorthMet project, in northeastern Minnesota. The Company is currently at permitting stage for its Minnesota project, Mr. Newby commented that obtaining permits can sometimes be challenging in the U.S. but once a project is fully permitted it is an advantageous jurisdiction.
