Antofagasta Sells its Water Division For $960 Million

Antofagasta (LSE:ANTO) announced Thursday that it would sell its water division, Aguas de Antofagasta S.A. to Empresas Públicas de Medellín for $960 million before taxes and transaction costs. CIBC world markets stated in a note that it believed the sale "will allow the company to focus on its core business of mining and the improved balance sheet strength adds flexibility on how it advances its development projects."

Regal Resources Limited Signs MOA With Ivanhoe Mines for Permits in DRC Copperbelt

Regal Resources Limited (ASX:RER) has signed a binding conditional joint venture memorandum of agreement with subsidiaries of Ivanhoe Mines (TSX:IVN) regarding a package of prospective tenements in the African Copperbelt in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The agreement includes the ability to acquire a 98 percent interest in the tenements.

PolyMet Mining Reports Financial Results

PolyMet Mining (TSX:POM) reported its financial results for the year ended January 31, 2015. The company reported a $7.276 million loss for the year, compared with $8.132 million for the year previous. As of January 31, 2015, PolyMet had cash and cash equivalents of $9.301 million.

Revelo Resources to Acquire 4 Exploration Properties in Chile

Revelo Resources (TSXV:RVL) has agreed on the principal terms and conditions to acquire four early stage exploration properties from the Chilean subsidiary of Altius Minerals (TSX:ALS). A letter of intent has been signed detailing the terms and conditions of the acquisition, and both companies will aim to come of a definitive agreement by May 25 2015.
